- (a) Total consumption of rice, wheat and sugar; Restaurant A $\to $ 750 + 600 + 600 = 1950 kg. Restaurant B $\to $ 600 + 800 + 550 = 1950 kg. Restaurant C $\to $ 500 + 550 + 350 = 1400 kg. Restaurant D $\to $ 700 + 600 + 500 = 1800 kg. Restaurant E $\to $ 650 + 750 + 500 = 1900 kg. Required average = $\frac{1950 +1950 +1400 +1800 +1900}{5} $ = $\frac{9000}{5} $ =1800 kg.
